Luminous Constructions
Romanian-born and Texas-based artist Adela Andea uses light and space to explore the line between reality and the virtual world, by creating uniquely illuminated and kinetic sculptures.
Adela transforms indoor spaces into installations that involve full sensory experiences for the viewers. She likes to think of her work as an incorporation of many layers of reality. Her ideas for the spaces she plans to create are structured as a dialogue on the interaction between people and new technologies, and raises socio-political questions about the dynamic and rapid industrialisation- and globalisation processes.
Adela considers the current socio-political and economical reality to be part of a constructed consensus on the current stage of the ecology of electronics.
